Serve a very useful purpose.
I have very large, thick arms and they fit perfectly. I have back problems and apply Bengay cream a few nights before bed to relieve my back pain. The problem was that in case I had to touch my eyes, the hand I was using had to be washed to try and remove the residue on the hand. This problem was solved by using an examination glove to apply the cream. Worked very well.
