Review on 2Pack 6000MAh Li-Ion Replacement Battery For Dewalt 18V XRP Ni-Cad DC9096 DW9098 DE9503 by Darin Schaffer

Over the past year I have bought these aftermarket replacement batteries from two sellers on Walmart. Total of four batteries , still using the OEM DW9116 charger.All batteries have failed within a year .I have taken all of them apart to investigate causes of failure : All have broken solder joints at battery pack interconnect wiring .Conclusion : Plastic Pack mold/casing is poor Spec. Thin fiber paper insulation wrap around battery pack and wiring is loose; consequently under heavy vibration such as using a reciprocating saw , angle grinder , and hammer drill the friction between the fiber paper / wiring interconnects / battery soldered terminal BREAK!Also have found melted battery pack terminal ends at connection plug-in to tools due to overheating . Battery pack wiring interconnects is very poor selection AWG (too small) to Amp draw.I do not recommend this product.
