These really are not hot! I work outside a lot and skin cancer is a concern in the family. These really are not hot. They get dirty when I garden but they hand was well and air dry. I like that they cover my hand because I often forget that if I'm hiking and not wearing gloves. I just wish they came in more interesting colors other than pastel. And not black. I don't want to wear black outside in the summer.
