I bought the predecessor of this (7200.7 120GB vs 7200.10 120GB) a few years ago and it worked great, ended up turning it into a 3 disk RAID array included (the other two were of this model). The original eventually failed, and I gave it to Seagate and got a 200GB hard drive for a fee (another 7200.7). When I called to explain that I needed another 120GB drive to be symmetric with the other drives in the RAID I was told they didn't have a 7200.7 @ 120GB at all. Not only were they unwilling to help, not only did they email me 7200.10 (improved performance and reliability), they offered to upgrade ALL drives in the array to 7200.10 for FREE. Of course I couldn't accept them, I already had 2/3 7200.10. but the offer really convinced me. And they forwarded for me! I didn't post this as a business but as an individual - amazing customer service there. I now have 8 Seagate drives, the oldest is 4 years old and only one has failed. It's also the only one that got noisy and I have no other complaints. If they keep releasing like this, I'll probably never buy another brand again.
