I bought the predecessor of this (7200.7 120GB vs 7200.10 120GB) a few years ago and it worked great, ended up turning it into a 3 disk RAID array included (the other two were of this model). The original eventually failed, and I gave it to Seagate and got a 200GB hard drive for a fee (another 7200.7). I bought this hard drive to replace the main OS drive that died in my old (above) Compaq EXS. I was just looking for something to get the job done, but was very impressed with the difference in performance this drive offered me. It's also inaudible, unlike the previous drive, which rattled like an old Buick. So I can't recommend it. I lost a bit of faith in Seagate products in the 90's, but I'm glad to see that they're making quality hardware again.
