Excellent lightweight camera that's tough in the field. I usually use a Nikon D90 DSLR as my main camera. Last summer my wife and I decided to hike the Appalachian Trail and I needed a camera that wasn't so clunky and light. The requirement was thus fulfilled. You see many tourists use their smartphone as a camera, but I'm a bit tired when my phone is always on, so I decided to take this camera with me as well. The battery lasts forever. We were out for 5-7 days before heading to the next town to stock up and it stayed charged the whole time (I had a spare battery). The trail can get very wet if you have to hike in the rain or make creeks so you and the camera will get wet. It passed the test and has never been exposed to water. I admit that he never really sunk completely in the water. The photo quality is excellent and after 2200 miles I have thousands of photos left to help us remember our 4 months on the road. I would buy it again if I had to replace it.
