I don't know how I used to live without these things! I've used them for hiking in the woods in the snow this winter and they did a great job of keeping snow off my boots without sacrificing traction. I originally ordered them in a medium size based on my size 8 1/2 shoes, but they felt gigantic on my feet. I sent them back and exchanged them for a size S. Even the small pant is a little big around my calves, so I think your foot size should be considered more than your shoe size when deciding which size to order. They might be an inch shorter than I'd like (since my legs are quite long), but they work well enough. I plan on buying another pair as a backup if they ever go on sale.
