I like that this mesh has a fairly solid backing. It's pretty durable. This set came with a not very good paper manual. I only realized what I needed to do after watching the video on this point (although it was still a bit confusing). But by that time the rubber band had already failed. See photo. Once properly assembled, I don't think this elastic part is critical for proper function. I put the target behind the mesh because all other reviews of other meshes complain that they hit the target material directly. Didn't want to risk it, overall happy with the purchase. This gives me time to study at home.
