Very ill thought out and cheap design.

This is a review of a 15 inch black table lamp with an open gold socket. I bought it because I wanted to use it with a Bluetooth smart lightbulb for my desk. When I received it it had to be assembled - basically screwing the vertical shaft into the base as well as the gold bushing. Unfortunately, to actually twist them together you have to twist the power cord into the shaft to the point where it's under a fair amount of stress that makes him want to unscrew the lamp unit. This is obviously a safety issue as a two core power cord isn't really designed for this kind of twisting. -covered with a sticky plastic sheet glued to a metal base. In an attempt to attach the coiled cord, I pushed the felt cover further back and found that it was tucking the paper backing in from the sticky cover to protect it Power cable from om is damaged by the end of the shaft mount. I was able to manually unwind the power cord with the felt cover removed, but the tight bend in the power cord that extends beyond the end of the shaft hub is another obvious potential shock or fire hazard. The problem with the power cable has been solved, the lamp wobbled because the shaft sleeve in the base was not tightened at the factory.
