Review on Disposable Ponchos Adults Transparent Waterproof Transparent by Dylan Goins

Disposable only; recyclable?

As someone trying to reduce single-use plastic at the same time as needing the occasional raincoat, I can see the benefits of this product. On the one hand, after use, it's almost impossible to fold it flat enough to fit back into a plastic bag, so it will definitely be a one-off item for most people. On the other hand, the plastic looks the same as what is accepted at store pickup points (I think it's #2 or #4), although it would be better if it was marked with a recycling number to make sure of this. I took off a star because I had no information on how to recycle (or not) this product. As for the product, in my opinion it is more of a comfort item than a safety item. If you're hiking and need an emergency rain cover for your pack, I recommend one of their metal-lined ponchos, which also retain body heat. If you're going to an outdoor event and don't want to bring a bag, but want your raincoat to fit in your pocket or purse just in case, this poncho is for you. They are so light, affordable and thin that you can even take two and be a hero to another guest who didn't think to bring a raincoat. "Here, I have a spare!" So yes, I recommend these, but please remember to take them to a collection point along with other recyclable plastic bags once you're done using them (and they've had time to dry ) .
