I opened the box and was surprised to find a DENSO starter with a test report listing all the test data. It's heavy, which is good for electric motors. It looks and weighs the same as the original DENSO OEM starter. Note that many other non-DENSO starters in the same price range list 12lbs, this one 18lbs. Seems too good to be true for the price, but you don't look a gift horse in the mouth. I have a lot of ground clearance under my 1999 Dodge Ram 4x4, but it's still not an easy repair, but it's not as difficult as many other repairs either. I did the whole exchange from below. Luckily I have plenty of tools and my special low profile ratchet wrenches came in handy to access three 10mm 12 point bolts to remove the old block.
