Review on 🌊 Discover the Elegance of Gracie China Coastline Imports Porcelain by Julian Davidson

Very nice set decent quality

I got this set just for fun and I would say its perfect for that. If I wanted heirloom quality I would pay for Lenox or Wedgwood china (and pay a lot more than I would for this china service). But "fancy brands" don't tend to offer somewhat extravagant Victorian sets like this one. :-) The quality of the porcelain is good, the roses are beautifully drawn. I would say that the red color on the top edges of the pieces is not as dark as in the picture; It's more of a bright red than I was hoping. But it's a lot of fun and fun, and I won't be inviting any 19th-century duchesses over for afternoon tea any time soon. Weight and strength are ok. I didn't see any obvious flaws. The pot has a lid with a molded "stand" to keep it from falling off while watering (although I would still hold the lid). The teapot also has a built in strainer, although I would most likely use a mug strainer or tea strainer. The sugar bowl lid doesn't have a slot for a spoon, but I guess it would still be rude to leave a spoon in the sugar bowl. I look forward to having lots of fun with this set! If I use it regularly, maybe sometime in the future I'll consider switching to a "fancy brand" and gifting this set to my niece, who will be delighted. In the meantime, I think she and her mother will be my first guests at the tea party!
