After driving trucks with backup cameras for many years, I quickly realized how addicted I had become to driving a car without a camera. After a long search I decided on this one and it's great! It always seems to take three times longer to install than most people, but it seemed so easy to install that I actually set the timer when my husband left to put it on. He very easily installed it on our Jeep Wrangler in less than 15 minutes! The camera is simply attached to the license plate holder and the screen simply plugged into the cigarette lighter. The camera is activated when the ignition is on and the car is reversing. The screen is big enough and well balanced so it sits nicely on the dash and stays in place. It provides a nice, clear picture of what's behind you, as well as guidelines to help you step back with confidence. The screen is also well-lit for nighttime use. We live in South Texas and are thrilled that it is solar powered. However, if you don't have much sunlight, you can also charge it with the included USB cable. This is a super aftermarket backup camera - now my son wants one for his car! Good product!
