Edit: It's been a year of constant use and the handle still holds up to abuse. Edit: 5 months later it's still holding up well. We are a family of 4 and do laundry all the time so this has held up to the abuse so far. The original pin broke off at the handle. It was hardened plastic and I'm surprised it didn't break sooner. This "unbreakable" replacement pen has a perfect fit and a metal band around the plastic barrel. Time will tell if it will last as long as the dryer itself.
