One suction cup didn't work at all. In the end I hot glued the suction cup to the tank to make it stick. The LEDs are bright, letting brighter tetras glow, but darker blues and purples don't glow as well. I'm wondering if they had frosted glass to better diffuse the blue light in the aquarium? It is waterproof at the moment and I bought it because it had a manual switch so I could use it with a timer. I also liked the fact that I could get blue light almost the entire length of my aquarium. As long as it doesn't leak or catch fire I'd buy it again because of the manual switch, but if another brand with a manual switch looks better I'll probably buy it first.
