Loose fit/poor heel distribution

I've been wearing these cleats on my winter boots for a few weeks now and am disappointed with their fit. My boots are a size 9 women's Khombu winter boots that fall within the cleat size range (women's 8-11). However, the cleated straps tend to slip under the ball of the foot and eventually down the heel as you walk. The heel pods are already closer to the arch of the foot so they offer even less traction when the strap goes down my heel. I find myself stopping constantly to tighten the heel strap. Aside from the frustration of stopping/starting while walking, the heel lug placement (not ideal initially) is even less effective at stabilizing my foot on icy/slippery surfaces when they slide. This offset also makes the position of all the cleats uncomfortable under my foot. At least when they move, they hold the ice pretty well. They will do for this winter season, but I wouldn't recommend them, nor would I buy them again.

  • Good to wear
