These lights are hard to beat for the price. They are very compact and weigh almost nothing. For an AA-powered flashlight, its brightness is surprisingly good. As a weapon light, this option is ideal. It's lightweight and doesn't create a massive/bulky profile. The only downside compared to larger flashlights is the diameter of the lens. The beam is narrower, but this is a trade-off for size. I paired mine with a standard 1" flashlight mount found here at Revain and a Picatinny rail mount for the NcStar shotgun. The only modification I made to the headlights is removing the pocket clip (using hex head screws) and wrapping tape around the body to increase the diameter to fit snugly in the bracket. This flashlight is certainly not a failsafe gun light, but for the price it's hard to beat. And of course always use Loctite for such things. Also for the light mount, I replaced the regular screw with a wing nut to make it easier to put on and take off. If you're looking for a gun light and don't want to break the bank, this is your top pick. I tested the flashlight on the shooting range and it seems to handle the recoil vibrations well.
