It's not as good as it should be. After setup, everything worked for a while. And then a severe frost began. Now it freezes every time I try to stream. It'll work for a while, and then from the viewer's side I'll just be a black box, and from my side I'll be frozen in place. When the program is open, there are no problems, everything is very smooth. But as soon as I open another program and it's on top and the Camera Link app goes to the background, it just freezes. Makes it almost impossible to use OBS Streamlabs with Cam-Link software. My computer can run multiple programs and stream at the same time. I have i7-9700k, 32gb ram, msi rtx 2070super, 1tb nvmessd and am not connected to wifi. I tested it when it wasn't streaming and games weren't opening, only Microsoft Edge is open and it's still freezing. I checked the usage status and nothing reached full usage when hovering. My camera is compatible (Sony a6300). After doing a little research online, I found that this is a very common problem on many cameras, not just mine. Since it is a very common problem that has not been solved yet. I've done everything in my power to "fix" the freezing issue, but I'm still experiencing the freezing. To be honest it seems like a huge waste of money. I really wanted this to work because I didn't need a regular Logitech webcam. When it works, it works amazing. But when it fails, it only overshadows the pros. Now I'm not quite sure what I want to do. This bug really killed my desire to keep streaming. Hope they fix this soon. If you are considering buying this, read the outputs first. Just google "elgato cam link 4k freezes" and see how common this problem is. There are videos and Reddit threads from years to months ago still talking about how to fix the freezing issue. Elgato, if you see this, please fix it. I just threw $100 in the trash when I bought this, although it rarely works. Their website says my camera is compatible so there shouldn't be a problem. I want my money back or a product that really works. Please refer to it. 08/12/21 Edit: With my Sony A6300 you don't even need that camera connection. You can go to Sony website and download the driver to connect the camera directly to your computer and stream without intermediaries. So it's literally a waste of money even if it worked. Now it's in a drawer somewhere in my closet. Absolute rubbish. save your money
