The app really works.

I don't usually write reviews but I will reply to other reviews that say the Wi-Fi app doesn't work. I can't talk to Android but on iOS (iPhone) the app has a bug or bug that needs fixing. I almost gave up on this device based on the app not working feedback, but since I can usually spot technical errors I decided to give it a try. I read the instructions and turned on the humidifier. After 30 minutes I confirmed it was working by pressing the manual switch on the pump, which pumped out quite a bit of the collected water. Also, the screen showed that the inlet humidity was 61% and the outlet humidity was 28% and the heat exchanger temperature was 44 degrees Fahrenheit, which is the expected dehumidification. Now that I was happy that it was working (only for 1 day - can't speak to reliability yet) I decided to try the Wi-Fi app. I registered and of course it didn't recognize my username and password and couldn't connect directly to the dehumidifier. I started to think the app wasn't working, but I wasn't. After another 10 minutes it worked and here is how I did it. Summary (if you don't want to read the details). After logging into the app you need to go to your email and click on the link they send you to verify your email so they activate your account. The problem is that the app doesn't recognize your original email address that you entered during registration. You need to click "Forgot Password", go to the email that will be sent to you to reset your password (which is misspelled as "reset password" in the app). After entering your new password the app will log you in and you can follow the rest of the instructions to get it working with the internet (I don't know if the direct connection works or not) 1) I have the AlorAir -App installed on my iPhone. 2) I opened the app and signed in. 3) I signed up with my email address and a password that I wrote down. This forced me to enter the password twice to log in and I wrote it down so the wrong password shouldn't be a problem. 4) I tried logging into the app and it said my account was "not activated". I noticed that they may have sent me an email to verify my email address and activate the account. And that's exactly what happened. I clicked the link to confirm my email, it was sent to my web browser and opened a web page that said "My account has been activated". and the password I registered with. Lo and behold, the app told me something like "Invalid user credentials" or "Invalid username or password". I've tried several times and he doesn't recognize me. I know I had the right password because he sent me an activation email. I knew it would recognize me and the account was activated because the app now says "Username or password is incorrect" instead of "not activated". I gave up thinking the app doesn't really work. 6) However, when I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, I thought of trying "Forgot Password". I did this and they immediately sent me a link to reset my password. I entered a new password (this one only has a password field with no password confirmation, so write it down carefully) and click submit. It said the password reset was successful. !8) Then I had to force the dehumidifier to come online. The app just froze with a spinning icon and the device didn't connect to the internet. I turned off the dehumidifier, unplugged it for 15 seconds, and then turned it back on. the back. I manually closed the app by swiping up on my iPhone. I reopened the app, logged in again and followed the onscreen instructions exactly and this time it connected directly to the internet and works great!
