The drawer storage, laptop stand, one drawer to put office supplies, and a panel come as separate parts, but already built.It is a bit unstable since the panel that slides in can fall off if you put a notepad and you slide it open.The drawer storage is sturdy and it has round pads underneath at the base to keep it from slipping from your desk.It has corks in the back to keep the drawer storage from scratching a wall in the case you place it against a wall.You can place most laptop sizes on top of the stand, which opens up to 6 notches and closes down completely. Underneath this laptop stand I placed a pad with 2 fans that cool down the laptop, and the fact that all parts are not solid but made with solid mesh is a plus because it keeps my laptop running cool!It is very light-weight!
