I bought this vise to use for picking locks. I've heard good things about it. So I haven't used it for a while (still in the box) and yesterday I tried to jumpstart and use it. I took it out of the box and put it on the kitchen table. I pulled the handle so it stuck to the table and didn't move. Well it was a full bust, it won't stick. No matter what I did, it didn't stick to the table. So I started reading about it and found that many people have the same problem. So the table I sat on had some small cracks in the structure. So I moved to my desk, completely flat service. Well, guess what he wouldn't keep there either. The lower part pulls up towards the device, but that's about it. Now the jaws don't hold up very well either. Put in a very small lock (Pick Master Lock) that is not very big. No matter what I did, it didn't last. I picked it as hard as I could (without breaking the lock) and it still wasn't enough. It's been too long to go back so I'm sticking with it, but it's good to live and learn. Off to find a new one.
