I bought this vise to use for picking locks. I've heard good things about it. So I haven't used it for a while (still in the box) and yesterday I tried to jumpstart and use it. This vise is probably fine if you just need a 'third hand' for basic work with things like jewelry, holding things and in the process sticking dries etc. But I bought it for use in the home gun shop and immediately realized that this is not what I need.
