Hmmm. I was delighted to receive this hat for my 11 month old son. He has a head in the 99th percentile and we had trouble finding a hat that would work as a sunscreen. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, this hat took much longer to arrive than originally stated. But when it actually arrived I was very excited to receive it. However, the gray is actually a bit lighter and the fabric is not that good. It appears to have very wide brims and a very flat hood. I got the size based on my son's actual head size according to the size chart, but it's actually too big! It's okay 'cause he can grow into her but I am afraid that the hat is too flat and sits too high on the head over the ears. The way it tightens at the back is also a bit odd because it doesn't exactly have one end that hangs down when you tighten it; Instead, it just gathers itself, creating a small crease in the fabric where you tighten it. It ends up being just an extra piece of fabric that's probably uncomfortable and looks pretty fun. It's still a pretty cute hat, but I'm not entirely sure it'll do as much as I originally hoped.
