Review on Hewlett Packard LP2065 Monitor: Silver Bezel, Analog 1600X1200, USB Hub, Height Adjustment - EF227A8#ABA by Jesse Whitethorn

First, the quality of the monitor is just ok. I wasn't expecting much since I got it for a relatively low price, so I can't complain about that. Second, the customer service at Computer Geeks leaves a lot to be desired. After reading two product reviews that suggested the item came with a VGA/DVI adapter and/or DVI/VGA cables (due to dual DVI inputs), I contacted the company to make sure it did was the case and not just their own product on the review page. They assured me it was so. It's not like this. A DVI cable was included. Then when I was able to buy additional hardware to get it working, there was a lot of discoloration in the top left corner. After seeing this, I looked at the return policy and found that the almost $25 it cost me to ship is non-refundable and not added to my balance. Not only that, the $25 it would cost me to return it would not be refunded or taken from my balance either. So in the end I have a choice: keep the crappy $100 monitor OR pay almost $50 (double shipping) to replace it with one that could be worse. And if that second monitor didn't work the same way, I'd spend another $25 on shipping, bringing the total shipping cost for a $100 monitor to $75. Of course, this is assuming they don't charge me for return shipping (although I wouldn't refuse them). If they charge me for a working monitor, I would have to pay $75 for shipping to replace my monitor once ($25 for me, $25 for return, and $25 for return ) or 75% of the total monitor cost. Price. I have informed the computer geeks about the discoloration of the monitor, so I hope they will see this review and try to fix this situation without additional shipping cost of 50% to 75% of the cost of the monitor.
