Pros: Image is sharp, colors are decent when viewed directly. The display is height-adjustable, rotatable and pivotable. Cons: Very noticeable color change when not looking directly, although the image doesn't completely disappear like some other LCDs do. Black turns purple. This is one of the best displays. I sold my 27" monitor and installed 3 of them for half price and got 30% extra screen. Well worth it. If your computer can support multiple monitors, this is a great way to set it up. I have an HP computer with two NVS 295 graphics cards, four monitors total, and I'm using 3 of the 2065 and one projector of this setup with no problems. The stands are solid and the quick release allows you to remove the monitor from the stand very quickly if needed.

I bought this monitor to use with my HP LP3065 monitor in a PLP setup. I previously bought a Dell 2007FP which was absolutely awful. The image was yellowed like old parchment and looked antique next to my HP 30 inch IPS screen. On the other hand, this monitor can keep up in almost all areas. I've been looking for a high resolution monitor for a long time that has maximum height, tilt, swivel and rotation adjustment. This rose to the top of the list. I got it almost 3 years ago and it works great. No problem. Note that I haven't tried anything complicated about it. I never tried to balance the colors like a photographer or publisher might want. It works out. But viewing documents is terrible - the text is blurry and is squeezing on the eyes. This is not improved by the automatic adjustment function. The "Sharpness" option in the OSD is greyed out. The PC is set to the monitor's native resolution of 1600 x 1200. I am using the correct DVI-A-VGA cable from my PC. I'm asking Arrow Direct for permission and will post an update depending on what happens.

Bought for my husband who is a computer guru but had a terrible monitor. He is happy about this gift. Having worked and provided tech support for many people, I feel his recommendation gives this product a 5 star rating.

Check the version number on the box or on the back of the monitor. If it starts with "GSM" followed by 3 digits then you have an S-IPS panel and you have won the "HP lottery". Otherwise you end up with an MVA panel, which is good but not as color accurate as IPS. I received mine on June 3rd 2008 and got the "GSM002" version so they are still there. After calibrating with my Spyder3Elite, the color and clarity of this thing is on par with monitors that cost 2-3x the price. I couldn't be happier.

For its time (mine was made in July 2006 so is over 9 years old) it was a killer monitor. The USB ports are also very useful. It's kind of a holdover these days, with a 4:3 aspect ratio and DVI without HDCP instead of HDMI or DisplayPort. It's also HEAVY, especially with the stand. Incidentally, the tripod is a gem with its height range and ergonomic setting. Today there are monitors with aspect ratios of 16:9 and even 21:9 or 4K and LED monitors that are thinner and weigh significantly less. -
