Suitable for my purpose but not perfect

If you're looking for stone cutouts perfect for your carving knives, look elsewhere. You have to be a bit creative here, especially with V-shaped and curved knives. I haven't found any curves or V-shape cuts on the stone that perfectly match my knives, so you need to make sure the entire cutting surface is sharpened. It's possible - you just need to find a finish that partially matches your knife, and you may need to use more than one finish on a single blade. The stone works though, and I'm glad that constantly sharpening these knives on flat rock is almost impossible. I would say the grit on this blade is a bit coarse for smaller blades, but I couldn't find anything that compares with a finer grit.

Pros
  • β—Ž Multi-Tool Compatibility: The grooved sharpening stone works well for multiple tools such as wood carving tools, woodworking tools, chisels and chisels. No more pain and hassle sharpening contour tools and wood chisels on a flat rock.
Cons
  • Requires rosette
