Review on IOGEAR 4 Port Switch Cables GCS1764 by Junee Mauck

IoGear 4-port DVI KVM switch meets my need for just one console for 3 Macintosh computers and an HDTV tuner. It works very well, with some very minor annoyances: 1: It takes about a second to toggle. Not for long, but not immediately. 2: When the monitor is sleeping or off, there is a slight "flickering" in the first 30 seconds. This only happens when it goes through the KVM switch. 3: When I boot one of the Macs, I need to switch KVM to that Mac, otherwise the Mac will not recognize that my monitor is in a high-resolution widescreen format. Not a huge problem and I can still switch formats immediately after loading, but it's a minor annoyance. However, I am very happy with this opportunity and would buy this device again. This saved me a lot of desktop space that would have been required for additional monitors and keyboards. Another benefit of THIS switch is that it comes in a small, very STRONG iron box, which allows me to conveniently mount it under my desk by simply screwing two super magnets (found at most hardware stores) under my desk.
