As mentioned before, the screws can cut into the windshield frame and scratch it. I solved this problem with a 1" x 1/16" piece of aluminum angle bracket. It fits perfectly into the mounting groove and prevents the screws from touching the windshield frame. Cut it to length then attach the included rubber pad to it and then cut a piece of 1/8" packing foam to lay on the bottom so you have rubber and foam on all three sides of the mount. If your windshield frame is narrower, you can cut the bottom edge of the aluminum bracket to get a larger adjustment range.
