Review on Pirelli Cinturato P7 225/45 R17 91W summer by Wiktor Lisowicz ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A normal product, but they wanted more for the money.

First and foremost, the reviews are contradictory, some are harsh, some are soft, and so, this is due to different models of the same rubber with different weight and speed indices. I have a 2022 pirelli cinturato p7 205/60 r16 92H, and this should not be confused with other pirelli cinturato p7, they have different tires, tread pattern, and other characteristics. As for SPECIFICALLY MY rubber. The first two years I went and did not know the troubles. Good on dry land, great on water too. From the third year, punctures from any trash began. By the fourth year, two out of four wheels had a cylindrical shape that became conical - it was the cords that set the shape burst or deformed. It was not worn out conically, but the rubber itself was deformed. Next up is wear and tear. Wear is strange. If you look at the markers, you can ride for another year or two, the tread margin is good. But from the ends the drawing went bald. See photo. The photo is not mine, but the problem is mine and the tread pattern is like mine. Only the tread on the working surface was even better preserved, but the transition points to the sidewalls were even worse worn. From the point of view of typical reasons, this indicates, they say, insufficient pressure. But the wheels were always inflated as expected. So, this indicates a discrepancy between the rubber and its mass index. She even pumped up at 2.4 looks like a blown one. Maybe this tire is good for a passenger car, but Toyota Noah turned out to be too snotty for a minibus. Although the index, it would seem, with a margin. The last straw was - a puncture just in the place of this lateral bald patch. The rubber there is initially thin, plus soft, plus worn out. There is almost nothing to burn, nothing to cling to. The tourniquet helped to get home, but somehow the wheel goes down in a day, because this place is always in motion when driving. With such strange wear, this is already a risk of hernias. I won't patch it up, I'll change it. Outcome: Rubber with good grip, but reduced survivability. 30 thousand km, then you drive with the risk of a puncture and a hernia. The mass index must be taken with a very large margin.

Pros
  • Good grip
Cons
  • Soft, wear out quickly, easily pierced. I don’t really believe in the declared mass index - it must be taken with a large margin.

The price is very reasonable. Not oaky and quiet. Rolls great in the water! What else does?
