Bought along with the carcass (550d). There is no need to talk, but to use. The lens for its price is simply GORGEOUS! It was used as a portrait lens (although, to be honest, the FRs are not very convenient for a portrait) and a telephoto lens (which it is). I was pleased with the tenacity of autofocus, a little advice is written in the merits. Nothing loosens up, no backlash is observed after almost a YEAR of use (10 months on March 24). When buying, I recommend taking a UV filter. Protection, plus sometimes the frame will do better. The lens is relatively light (sigma 70-200 \ 2.8 without a stub weighs twice as much), but the center of gravity shifts (although not so much). Everything is fixed with a little thing labeled "CANON EF 70-200 f/4 Tripod Mount Ring". Those who do not have enough FR can purchase a 1.4x or 2x extender (but I'm not sure if AF works here). Do not forget that extenders reduce aperture. With 1.4x you get 98-280 \ 5.6, with 2x - 140-400 respectively. The crop factor was not taken into account I chose for about three months between 70-200 \ 4 and 70-300 \ 4-5.6 with a stub. There is enough FR (spotting, sports, portraits), I don’t regret the choice. If the moderators fire this, correct the description: the lens mount can be either EF-S or EF. EF-S does not work with Canon XD, 7D is an exception. So the EF lens mount.
