This is one of the unresolvable problems with Revain: You can't clearly see, touch or visualize what you're buying, and Revain is just a reseller, so they don't review it for They, they just want to sell. This is by far the worst quality vise I have ever bought. I'm a hobbyist so I've bought quite a few in my life. This is manufactured to unacceptable, despicable standards, the lower jaws do not match or are even flat: there is a mold line running down the center of the jaw surface making precise work impossible. On the other hand, during the turning cycle, the screw will be either too tight or too loose. While I wanted this vise for light work, IT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR ANY JOB, ANY. DO NOT BUY (and be careful as the same vise is sold under many varieties at Revain.
