Review on Upgraded 3 Way Electronic Audio Crossover by Robert Demissie

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Something better than just good. CHROM POPs!

Good stuff 1st. A x1 or x10 treble divider works great and provides high frequency isolation for a person wanting to boost some tweeters. As long as the output gain does not exceed 3/4, the distortion noise level appears to be very low or absent (no unwanted noise at high frequencies is good!). The mid out is really good at blocking low frequencies, but if you want to block high and low frequencies from your mids; This crossover won't do that, it always lets the high frequencies through, which is understandable as it's considered the rear mid for a man who wants fader control in his life. The bad news is that the low-frequency isolation is dirty and lets too much mids through. Another not so good point is the male power binding posts, which are soldered to the board with no other physical reinforcement. You must be very careful when pressing the terminal or you may break or break the circuit board or solder joints. Thing looks really good, some windex on the paper towel when done, splicing and super chrome bling. It would be nice if car audio looked as trendy as it did in the old school days. My 4th star is only because of the chrome.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires outlet
