This HDMI/UTP TX and RX set has worked very well for me. I needed to connect my computer's HDMI output to a conference room in another part of the building. I used the IT department's existing data cabling and bypassed all the Ethernet devices to connect the TX and RX together. They are NOT based on Ethernet but use the same copper/UTP cabling as Ethernet. Operating display, status display help with troubleshooting. The chassis is steel and comes with brackets/screws. I would buy again. I didn't need tech support so I left this review blank. The quality of the image was difficult to assess as my source material was not of the highest quality. My client saw no difference. I only use it for video content over HDMI so I can't confirm the sound/sound quality.
