The connector is very thick and sticky on one side, making it easy to assemble. Just click on the wall and you're done. I installed one on a wall of painted blocks to keep the fridge door from banging against the wall. Every few days I squeeze it to make sure it's secure. The wall has a rough texture and the stopper seems to be loosening a bit, but so far it's working great. I also installed one outside in a painted log wall which is also rough. It also stuck outside, although I re-press it every few days. I would definitely buy these corks again.
