Review on California Car Duster 62447 8B Mini by Liz West

In 2017 I bought a Walmart California mini vacuum and it was great. Unfortunately I lost it. So in 2019 I bought a half price replacement from Revain. I was skeptical because of the low price but my humble mind got the better of me. The thing does NOT work like the original. The first one I bought was SIGNIFICANTLY covered in some kind of wax coating as it was damp in the packaging and had a chemical smell. When I received it I had to let it air dry for a day as it was very damp. It worked beautifully and I loved it. It really was a dust magnet. This replacement purchased from this seller came DRY. As many other reviewers point out, it leaves a lot of red fibers behind. It doesn't pick up dust that well either. If you want to save on a rag, buy one that isn't red, as it leaves annoyingly visible fibers. They buy the California Duster because of the special coating they put on the dust boots and it's definitely NOT the same. I recommend buying from a retail store where you can verify the genuine or at least the best quality (it should look wet in the packaging). Either the California Duster lacks quality control or it is fake. Either way, it doesn't even work half as well as the first one I bought back in 2017. Too bad.
