Just because packaging says it fits in your car doesn't mean it will. There are alternator options they don't consider: This one had a different electrical connection to my 2004 330ci 6 speed M and didn't connect. The next one I got from another supplier had the correct connector but was missing the idler pulley mounting notch. There are also at least three different output current options. The only way to be sure you are getting the correct alternator is to have your original alternator before ordering and carefully compare the pictures to your existing alternator.
