The cup itself feels flimsy and cheap. The cup does not fit snugly against the retaining ring and moves slightly from side to side in the ring. I got this to fit in a bird carrier but can't use it for that purpose as the cup rumble doesn't fit snugly to the ring. Also, the flat plates that bolt to attach to the cage are not level and flush with each other. This is hardly an issue if you attach to a cage but can't attach to flimsy plastic. Of the many different bird bowls I have, this one may be the worst. I'm keeping it because it's still usable, just not for its intended purpose.
