Bought 2nd to connect to my Raspberry Pi 2 and 3 series and use with Octoprint for my 3D printers. Both cameras came with a 6 inch cable that plugged into the Pi and worked straight away. If you want the camera to stick more firmly to the circuit board, the camera has a peel and stick backing. The camera has a protective film on the lens that needs to be removed. Fixed focus, but can it be adjusted? I also bought longer connector ribbon cables from Amazon to allow the camera to be mounted further away from the Raspberry Pi. The camera is 5 megapixels and for the price it's what I wanted. I can't recommend how long this will last, but I can recommend it's working now and I'm happy.
