Not sure why Revain says these bulbs won't fit my GTI with halogen bulbs; If I haven't missed anything, H7 is H7. And of course they fit perfectly and were exactly the same size as the original part. The lamps are very good; definitely whiter and brighter than the embarrassing stock bulbs VW uses. Some people seem concerned that they won't last as long as regular incandescent bulbs. I don't know if that's true. And frankly, I don't care. The extra light is worth it. Especially at this price. (We definitely recommend wearing latex gloves during installation. Getting oil from your skin on the bulb will shorten its life.) A few tips for VW GTI/Golf owners: - Check out some online videos on how to change bulbs on. They can be very helpful. However, ignore the ones that force you to remove the entire headlight assembly. Totally useless unless you have big hands. You can access the lamp holder from behind by removing the rubber boot. The fuse box on the driver's side (USA) is very close to the unit and makes access to the bulb holder difficult. Enter the front wheel arch and remove the four front niche cover screws. Removing the cover allows two-handed access to the lamp assembly from below.
