Works on my tripod.
I used one to keep the tripod level. When filming an outdoor church service, I needed help filming a gently sloping plane. The size of the spirit level allowed me to position it in the only available spot on the tripod. I used double sided 3M backing to attach it to the tripod as it comes with no glue. This works for my purpose.
