I have one of the 32 ounce bottles (the old model with the cap on) and wanted a smaller bottle to toss in my backpack for a cross country trip. I decided to try the 25 ounce store. I've only used it a few times but I really like it. One problem with the old style lid is that mine was easy to unscrew and leaked water. This new style lid takes more turns to close and honestly I think it's better. Of course it takes 3 seconds longer to open the lid to drink, but I don't have to worry about it unscrewing in my backpack and getting wet (and that seems like a reasonable compromise). When I wear out my old 32oz bottle I will replace it with a 32oz magazine.
