Review on 🔴 Gikfun Infrared Emitter and Receiver Module for Arduino by Cody Wuol

I bought these to learn about infrared communication and how devices like infrared remotes send data. The receiver was great in that it was able to record and display the signals to see how they were working and then the LEDs were great to play back the signals to try and control the devices yourself. This is a good starter kit if you want to learn about infrared communication. My only issue is that the distance isn't very good for these things. I can't reliably get the advertised 7-8 meters out of these things. They're really good for short range communication and data transfer, which is what I'll probably use them for, but not very good for remotely controlling things.
