Actual power is lower than claimed

We ordered this laser module for our lab. We used a power supply with 5V, 3A specifications, and we also ordered the heatsink for the laser. The module worked. However, I measured the output with a power meter. As shown in the picture, the actual output was 60mW instead of the claimed 100mW. It is still enough for our application, but I will drop one star for that.

  • this is nothing more the a laser pointer wasted money

Great on my K40 for my opinion

This is perfect for my K40 laser engraver. It has been a huge help in lining up items for engraving. All of the negative reviews are just people who think this little laser pointer is supposed to engrave on its own.

Pros
  • Getting around 88-92 mW max with new batteries.
Cons
  • D.O.A did not even work

Not as advertised - my new review

Marginally brighter than a 5mW UV laser diode.Can't imagine it would engrave anything as it doesn't even feel warm when pointed at my hand.

Too bright for a marker for my application.

I bought this for an embroidery machine, as a center marker. It is too bright. Will prob just return it. Do not waste your money on this product.
