I think they weigh around 30-35 pounds and there really aren't any good ways to hold them, so it's a bit uncomfortable. Installation: I was concerned about this for a while, our windows are quite large (40 inches). Once they arrived and we read everything, used the template provided, marked, drilled the pilot holes and then screwed in the screws, they installed with ease. Just grab them and hook them up. There are two different attachment methods. We decided to mount it on the frame so that the windows can still be closed. Yes, there are gaps because the windows are a bit big, it doesn't affect anything. They fit perfectly in normal sized windows. Drill pilot holes, trust me it will save you a lot of frustration trying to tighten screws. Plus, and that's the only bad thing I can say about these fans, the pan head screws. You know how difficult flatheads are to screw in, so yes, drill pilot holes. Air Movement: When we first turned them on, it was 80F inside and 69F outside. It took about 5 minutes for the inside temperature to match the outside temperature. These fans are amazing, absolutely 5 stars. They're expensive, yes, but they're worth it. 2 is overkill, I keep both low most of the time. You have to buy 1 and go from there. They are very durable, very well made and let a lot of air through. You can spend the money on a 5000W AC unit or this powerful 175W fan. Just buy it. This is a fan. Stop wasting money on those cheap window fans that move about the same amount of air as a desktop computer fan. $20 here, $40 there, you go shopping and end up spending money on a $60 fan and think that's the answer, stop it, just buy this one.
