I ordered these closet lights for my old house that predate the closet lights. They are simple, reliable and work very well. Installation is very simple - attach the included peel and paste magnetic strip to the underside of a cabinet base, then snap the lantern onto the magnet. Literally no tools are needed unless you are compulsive like me and need a tape measure to center it. The lights have an on/off slide switch if you wish to turn them off and they have three brightness settings achieved by turning on the power. 1/3, 2/3 or all LEDs. The motion detection works really reliably in my setups, and the light goes off a few seconds after the door is closed, which saves battery life. When they need to be charged, simply open up the Light up magnetic strip and plug it into the nearest USB micro cable in your home. I honestly don't know how long the battery lasts; I installed them almost 2 months ago and they haven't had to charge yet. All in all, these are well-designed and reliable cabinet lights. I can't imagine what they could improve on.
