Works but it would raise a lot fewer questions if it was a little bigger. The connectors are very tiny, and if you connect the wires and insert them into the outer jacket, it's doubtful that they can short out at the outer jacket. The only thing that really hinders this is the inner rubber grommet which needs to be tightened with pliers to fit over the new diameter created by all the wires. It's not a quick and easy task, and to be sure, check the continuity with a meter when you're done. What pleased me was the solid bracket that holds the plug. It feels like it will stand up to squeezing/unplugging the ports over time.
