Exactly what you need. Believe me.

This is exactly what I needed. I have one of those old traditional bathtub handles that turns on when you pull it straight out and then gets hotter in one direction and colder in the other. It is very easy to install. First remove the cover with a flathead screwdriver or knife blade. Then loosen the screw under the cover. At this point you can remove the handle. They then remove a small piece of metal around the visible piece of brass that the screw has penetrated. You can remove the metal shell around the cartridge. There is a horseshoe clip that you can pull to remove. From there you probably want to break the old cartridge by putting a white plastic adapter on top of the old cartridge and twisting it with pliers. Once it comes loose, you can pull it out with pliers. Insert a new cartridge with the notch at the top of the cartridge tip facing up. From there you simply replace the horseshoe clip, housing and small washer and screw the plastic handle back onto the end of the cartridge. Cap on and done. There are no more leaks. You see, it wasn't that easy. It's really very simple and I think you can handle it. No, go in there and fix the dripping faucet. I know this works for single handle basin faucets that work the same way because I've used it on these too.
