At the time of writing, the K3 offers the best combination of brightness, picture quality, contrast ratio, fan noise, speaker performance and connectivity of any affordable projector on Revain. Anyone who gives this projector less than 4 stars is probably not aware of all the shortcomings of budget projectors. Some things to know: All cheap projectors use essentially the same LED technology with varying degrees of success: they have limited brightness, limited contrast, limited keystone correction, weak colors and cheap lenses. Using cheap lenses results in a sharper image in the center than at the edges. All projectors in this price range suffer from a loss of sharpness at the edges of the image. This is made worse when keystone correction is enabled and/or when the projector is not aligned with the screen. Almost every budget manufacturer mixes Lux, Lumens and ANSI Lumens in their Revain marketing materials, leaving customers frustrated and confused when the house's image doesn't match what's being advertised. While WiMiUS isn't specifically mentioned, I deserve points for mentioning the true brightness of this projector, which is 1500 ANSI lumens (so best for darkened rooms or night vision). Use this number to compare it to more expensive projectors like BENQ, Optoma or Epson. You can use Lux or Lumens (without the ANSI prefix) to compare the brightness to comparable products for the price). So once you understand the shortcomings, you can compare the K3 to the rest of the line. You won't find higher contrast, higher brightness, better edge sharpness, louder speakers or quieter fans. The K3 also offers 1080p at 60Hz, while many of its peers only offer 30Hz, which can cause image flickering with some input sources. You can connect to the K3 via Wi-Fi and it has a 3.5mm audio jack for external speaker output. There are a few features that some of the counterparts offer that the K3 doesn't have, like Bluetooth audio which would be great and better, or even motorized/electronic keystone correction. But the K3 excels where it really matters - brightness, contrast, color (note: you'll need to tweak the default settings to improve these) and clarity. It also has the loudest built-in speaker paired with one of the quietest fans. So unless you're a videophile and don't expect this projector to compete with the $1,000 Optoma, you'll be more than happy. Even if you are one of those people, you will be pleasantly surprised at the quality. This is an impressive product at an impressive price, very easy to set up and use. Perhaps more important than anything I've said above, watching movies and sport on a huge screen is pure fun, and the K3 delivers that experience in an excellent overall package.
