Top shelf design and construction. The processing is impeccable. The metal mold and the connections are impeccable. The paint on the outside wall is applied flawlessly, wears and cleans very well. The grip is comfortable and adapts to any hand size. Hot liquid in a cup with a closed lid will retain heat for a long time. The lid is superbly designed, almost waterproof, easy to drink, sloped to allow excess water to drip back into the mug, and made from very durable and easy-to-clean plastic. The only problem is that the lid is incredibly difficult to get out of the mug. The rubber seal, also of very good quality, fits snugly against the inner wall. I have an old identical mug from three years ago with a coffee shop stamp on it. This old lid works well on both cups. A new lid is difficult to remove from both cups. My new mug was a gift so we missed the return window. I'll probably bet this cover has a manufacturing defect and buy a replacement of the same brand. Love the mug except the lid is very very difficult to remove.
