I use them to cool my wireless router. You are absolutely perfect for the job. The router is a cylindrical DLink DIR760L. The fans match the router very well. I lay the router on its side and use the fans to push air in from one end and pull it out the other. The CPU temperature dropped by more than 20 degrees Celsius. Noise is negligible. The main consideration was that the fans should be USB powered. The router has a USB port, so I don't need an external power supply. I will buy a few more of these for other setups. At first I just put fans on each end and everything was on a wooden shelf. But there was a vibration transmitted and amplified by the shelf. Putting everything on a thick sock eliminated the noise. Then I decided to cut the sock off the sock, slip it over the router, cut a slot for the cables and let the elastic on the ends of the sock hold the fans in place. It's not visible so looks don't matter and everything works great.
